In addition to handling Los Angeles-area shows and tour booking, The Church of the 8th day is also pleased to offer management services to bands. These services are valuable to bands looking to hand off various responsibilities, which have either been put in the hands of the bands themselves, or into the hands of label reps who already have too many bands to worry about. Our level of promised work depends on how far along the band has already established themselves within the scene. At this point we are still taking submissions, but we will only choose to work with bands that we feel can be moved forward in a postive direction. Bands that we are currently representing are...

Adam Ahlbrandt began his carrier as a filmmaker at the ripe age of seven. Using friends and family Ahlbrandt experimented with the family’s new VHS
camcorder and began making violent gore/horror movies, many of which led to trips to the hospital for those involved. Although Ahlbrandt’s family didn’t yet know it, this was to be his passion in life. Over the next seven years Ahlbrandt refined his craft, earning a BA in film and media arts from Temple University with honors. Ahlbrandt also shot music videos in addition to his studies, which reflected his pension for horror. Bands like: “Burnt by the Sun”, “Today is the Day”, “Agoraphobic Nosebleed”, and “Circle of Dead Children” all helmed Ahlbrandt to the directors chair. Ahlbrandt now is working on his first feature length film to be shoot in January of 2006 and scored by Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer fame and continuing to support and work in the realm of underground music.
